Living Room Carpet Restoration — Heavy Soil & Pet Stains in Wesley Chapel

Homeowners with two large dogs noticed their living room carpet had developed dark traffic lanes along the main walkway, multiple set-in pet urine stains near the sliding glass door, and a persistent odor that regular cleaning couldn't eliminate. The carpet was only 3 years old but looked worn and neglected.

We deployed our truck-mounted hot water extraction system with water heated to 220°F. The process began with a thorough pre-vacuum using a commercial HEPA vacuum, followed by targeted pre-treatment of pet stains using an enzymatic solution that breaks down uric acid crystals at the molecular level. After a 15-minute dwell time, we extracted using our wand with 500 PSI injection pressure, flushing contaminants from the carpet backing. Finally, we applied a professional-grade carpet protector to guard against future staining.

Several pet urine spots had penetrated through the carpet backing and into the pad beneath. We identified these areas using a UV blacklight inspection before treatment. For the most affected spots, we used a sub-surface extraction tool that flushes the backing and pad directly, preventing the odor from returning as the carpet dried.

All visible stains were eliminated, traffic lanes restored to their original color, and the persistent pet odor was completely gone. The carpet dried in approximately 4 hours with the use of industrial air movers.
